Hambledon
This project was created during lockdown, as the government allowed daily local walks. These circumstances put into perspective the importance of our connections to others and to nature. After taking daily walks up the hill in my village, I started to form connections with others who were doing the same. Hambledon Hill inspired a great sense of childhood nostalgia in me and I recognised these same feelings among many generations in the surrounding area.
Using this as a basis of conversation I reached out to people in the village who felt a strong connection to the hill. Resulting are images made in response to feelings of nostalgia, community, and human connection to nature.
